Varanasi ASI Chapter
About the Chapter
The Varanasi Chapter draws its academic strength from the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (IMS BHU) — one of India's premier surgical training institutions. The chapter regularly organises the Dr. S.P. Srivastava Oncology Oration and other CME programmes that attract national faculty.
Varanasi's strong postgraduate surgical programme ensures a steady flow of young talent into the UPASI network. The chapter has hosted multiple SELSICON conferences and remains an important contributor to ASI national deliberations.
