About the Chapter
The Lucknow Chapter, anchored by King George's Medical University (KGMU) and Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI), represents the academic heartland of UPASI. The chapter was the first to publish a surgical journal issue (1987) and has consistently been at the forefront of surgical innovation and education in Uttar Pradesh.
As the seat of UPASI's executive committee, Lucknow coordinates state-level programmes including UPASICON — the flagship annual conference. The chapter organises regular Grand Rounds, inter-departmental seminars and hands-on workshops for postgraduate trainees.
